Family Centred & Evidence-Based Practice
We believe in taking a holistic, family-centred, and evidence-based approach to speech therapy. We aim to collaborate with family every step of the way, including setting functional goals. We expect family members to play an active role in their child's therapy, and practice goals outside of the treatment sessions.
Research shows that the best goal is a functional one. We believe in working on goals that will transfer out of treatment sessions, that can be targeted & practiced during your family's daily activities.
We also believe in the benefit of play and creativity. We do our best to accommodate your child's needs and personality; a child should feel comfortable to be themselves with us. We consider a successful session to be one that is full of laughs, conversation, and of course, motivated learning!
